Caryota Mitis
Caryota mitis is known as the clustering fishtail palm or fishtail palm.
Light: Bright indirect light. It can also grow under a grow light if the natural lighting is inadequate.
Recommended watering: Once a week. Water thoroughly, then allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. It is more tolerant of drier soil than wet. Water less in winter when growth has slowed. Use filtered or distilled water because tap water may contain fluoride, chlorine, and other chemicals that can damage palms.
Temperature: An average warmth with a minimum of 120C to thrive. If the temperature is comfortable for you it is ideal for this palm.
