Philodendron Melanochrysum:
The Philodendron melanochrysum is a beautiful tropical plant. It doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Or the attention it deserves. The dark green (almost black) crystalline leaves show off a bright yellow vein. The yellow vein traces its’ way through the leaf to form a unique pattern.
Water :
Philodendrons do not need nearly as much water as some other plants. Over-watering them could actually harm them. If the plant is in high light or the temperature is warmer, it should be watered more often, but in low light or cooler temperatures, watering should occur less often.
Light :
Philodendron Melanochrysum enjoys bright shade. Bright shade stands for filtered sunlight or indirect bright light. As a tropical plant, Philodendron prefers shady areas. It doesn’t appreciate direct sunlight, but it still needs some light to grow.
Care:
When it comes to watering your Philodendron Melanochrysum, you should always make sure that the soil never dries out. You will need to hydrate your plant all the time, but also avoid over-watering.
