Cercestis mirabilis
Is a member of the larger plant family Araceae and members of this family are commonly known as aroids. The scientific name Cercestis in common Latin is pronounced “ser-SES-tes” while mirabilis is pronounced “mir-AB-ilis”.
Water:
Requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between waterings
Light:
This Cercestis requires 70-85% sunlight. Depending on your location filtered sun is best. In the northern end of their grow zone Mirabilis plants should be brought indoors or protected during the winter months.
Care:
Mirabilis Cercestiss enjoy well drained but moist, rich organic mix. Remember try to stay away from wet, mucky or dry, sandy soils. To help establish your new Mirabilis Cercestis, fertilize sparingly at least 6 inches away from the base, tri-annually with a slow time released product.
